A gulet cabin charter means you book one private en-suite cabin, not the whole yacht. On Elara, our own 12-cabin gulet, it is a 7-night cruise from Bodrum, Turkey, to the Hisaronu Gulf and back, full board, with 18 Saturday departures from 29 May to 25 September 2027. From £1,300 per person; travelling solo, the cabin is yours for +80%.
All 12 cabins have their own shower and WC and air conditioning. Pick a double or twin; travelling alone, you get the cabin to yourself (+80%).

Why a cabin charter on Elara
No whole-boat cost
Full board, zero planning
Fixed route, fixed Saturdays
Our own boat and crew
You pay per cabin, not per yacht, which puts a week on a gulet within reach of couples and solo travellers. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are cooked on board and there is a swim stop every day, so there is nothing to plan or provision.
Made for couples and solo travellers trying a gulet for the first time: your cabin stays private, the table is shared. Every cabin cruise sails on Elara with our own crew, so the photos, cabins and menu are the real ones.
Day-by-day programme
Sample itinerary; the captain may adjust it with the weather.
Board from 16:00 at Bodrum Yacht Harbour and settle into your cabin. The first night is in the marina or a nearby bay; dinner is ashore in Bodrum old town, at your own cost.
Clear water and a sea cave on the Datca peninsula. Swim and snorkel all day; the waterfront fish restaurants are a short swim or tender ride away.
Aktur sits at the narrowest point of the peninsula; Bencik is a quiet, fjord-like inlet and a sheltered spot for the night.
Walk the Kizkumu sand bar out into the bay, swim at Orhaniye and spend the night off Selimiye, a stone village with harbour tavernas.
Calm anchorages and a long swim stop, then the fishing village of Bozburun for the evening.
Whitewashed lanes in Datca, then ancient Knidos on the tip of the peninsula, with its theatre and temples above the two harbours.
Warm springs and quiet beaches on Kara Ada, and a last swim in the very clear water off Orak Island.
Breakfast on board, then checkout by 09:00 on Saturday, in good time for a midday or afternoon flight home.

“A huge thank you to Hülya and the entire team at DE Yachting for organizing such a seamless experience. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, communication was excellent…”
Shared. You book one private en-suite cabin on Elara with full board and share the deck, the table and the route with the guests in the other 11 cabins. If you want the whole boat for your own group, that is a private gulet charter, see our gulet charter page.
How much is a gulet cabin charter in GBP?
On Elara in 2027: £1,300 per person for 7 nights in a shared double or twin cabin for the May, June and September departures, £1,400 in July and August, full board. Travelling alone, the cabin is yours for +80%. Port fee €150 and optional Wi-Fi €25 per person are paid in cash on board (about £130 and £20).
What does full board include on the cabin cruise?
7 breakfasts, 6 lunches, 6 afternoon snacks and 6 dinners on board from a luxury menu, with unlimited drinking water and tea and coffee at breakfast and snack time. The first evening is dinner ashore in Bodrum at your own cost. Drinks, soft or alcoholic, are not included: you buy them from the yacht bar on a cash tab.
Which UK airports fly to Bodrum for a Saturday boarding?
In season, direct flights from Gatwick, Stansted and Manchester reach Bodrum (Milas) in about 4 hours, and Heathrow has direct Bodrum flights with BA on selected days. A Saturday morning flight lands in time for boarding from 16:00; Bodrum marina is 30-45 minutes from the airport. Checkout is Saturday by 09:00, so a midday or afternoon flight home works.
Can I book a cabin on my own?
Yes. There are no single cabins on Elara, so a solo traveller gets a double cabin to themselves for +80% of the per-person price. Meals are at a shared table, which most solo guests like.
Is the cabin cruise ATOL protected?
No. A cabin cruise without flights is not a package flight holiday, so we hold no ATOL or ABTA bonding and claim none. De Yachting is a licensed Turkish travel agency (TÜRSAB No. 17781); your written confirmation states the payment and cancellation terms before you pay anything, and we recommend travel insurance.
How do I book a cabin, and when do I pay?
Send your week and number of guests with the form, there is nothing to pay at that stage. If a cabin is free we hold it for 48 hours and confirm cabin, price and extras in writing within 24 hours. A 50% deposit by bank transfer secures the cabin; UK transfers take 3-5 working days. The balance is due 60 days before departure.
Can children join the cabin cruise?
Children aged 6 and over are welcome. Children under 6 cannot be accepted on this shared cruise; for younger children a private gulet charter is the better fit.

An Unforgettable Family Journey with DE Yachting Aboard Baba Can
2 photos
Our family just returned from the most incredible trip to Turkey, and it truly exceeded every expectation. The highlight of our vacation was our unforgettable week aboard Baba Can, which was simply perfect from beginning to end.
A huge thank you to Hülya and the entire team at DE Yachting for organizing such a seamless experience. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, communication was excellent, and we felt completely taken care of throughout the entire process.
Most importantly, our captain and crew aboard Baba Can were absolutely outstanding. They made us feel at home from the moment we stepped on board. Their kindness, professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made the trip so special. They went above and beyond every day, whether it was finding beautiful secluded bays, preparing incredible meals, or making sure our family had everything we needed. By the end of the week, they felt like family.
Turkey itself is one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited, with crystal-clear water, charming coastal towns, delicious food, and incredibly warm people. Thanks to DE Yachting and the amazing crew of Baba Can, this became one of the best vacations our family has ever taken.
We cannot recommend DE Yachting and Baba Can highly enough. Thank you, Hülya, our captain, and the entire crew for giving us memories that will last a lifetime. We will absolutely be back!
